Madelaine Erazo is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), who provides counselling and psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Madelaine creates a warm and caring atmosphere in order to address and work through areas of concern for yourself, your child, and/or your family. She creates mutually respectful and accepting therapeutic alliances with her clients through compassion and curiosity. Her approach to therapy in integrative and tailored towards your current issues; she incorporates current research and best practices from Narrative Therapy, Play-Therapy, Family and Systemic Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural/Dialectical Behavioural, Existentialism, Attachment and Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness to help you reach your goals and foster meaningful change. She believes counselling is an opportunity for support and self-reflection, and her role is to guide this process.
Madelaine has experience working with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, childhood abuse and trauma, family and life transitions, self-image, anger management and interpersonal conflict, and parenting. She has a special interest in working with children and families.
Madelaine has completed her clinical training towards a Master’s in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa, and is working on empirical research that explores the relationship between bullying and the development of Borderline Personality Disorder. She is currently practicing under the supervision of Dr. Brenda Saxe, PhD (#2857) and Dr. Stephanie Cristina, PhD (#3814).
Sessions are 50 minutes in length and cost $140. Fees may be covered by extended healthcare providers, please check with your individual insurance company. A receipt will be provided at the end of each session, and payment is accepted by cash, e-transfer, cheque, and credit.
